We recommend using better quality headphones, which you probably already have, over the basic ones provided in the box as they will help to improve the sound quality a lot, however the basic ones can be useful if you don't have anything else to listen through.
These tape players are neat and compact, measuring 113mm x 30mm x 90mm and weighing only 174g. They require 2 x AA batteries to run, although can also be powered by a 3V 500mA power supply (not included) if you wish.
